TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu underlined that his country and Iran are determined to increase the value of their trade balance to $30 billion in less than two years.

We hope that the value of the two countries trade transactions will increase to $30 billion in 2015 and $100 billion in 2020, the Turkish foreign minister said, addressing a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran on Wednesday.

He expressed pleasure in Irans diplomatic victory in Geneva nuclear talks with the world powers, and said, We are happy with the easing of the sanctions against Iran since it will be helpful to the expansion of ties between the two countries.

Earlier this month, Iran and Turkey said they are resolved to further develop their ties in all domains, specially in various economic fields.

In a meeting between Iranian Minister of Industries, Mines and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and Turkish Minister of Planning and Programming Judat Yilmaz at the end of the 29th ministerial meeting of Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) in Istanbul, Nematzadeh said that Iran is resolved to expand its trade ties with Turkey.

The Iranian minister said that the meeting between Iranian and Turkish presidents during the 68th UN General Assembly session in New York had an important role in developing mutual cooperation between the two nations.

In the meeting, Yilmaz called Iran as a very important country in the region, adding that Iran and Turkey are two significant regional actors.

He continued that the two countries have 150 million population and national incomes of the two states are high, so if economic ties increase the whole region will benefit from it.

He added that the figure of $30bln has been aimed for increasing economic ties between the two countries.
