A story of friendship with nuclear twist in Iran's Cinema's

A different look at Irans nuclear talks --- taking things to a personal level. All Alone is a movie about an Iranian boy called Ranger who becomes friends with a Russian boy whose father works at the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
A friendship that is in limbo every time these boys hear news of new sanctions on Iran or rumors of the Bushehr nuclear power plant getting closed down. This reaches a point where Ranger plans to go all the way to the United Nations and ask world leaders to keep the plant open so he can keep his new friend. The movie's director, Ehsan Abdipour, says he didnt want to make a political movie but show the story of two friends.

I met with a movie critic to see how she saw this film.
Sahar Asrazad said, The point that is clear in Mr. Abdipours movie is that, whilst one could think its a political movie at first, the viewers attention gets focused on the friendship between the two children and that personal relations become more important that the nuclear issue. In a way the personal voice becomes more important than the political.

People who've watched the film have mixed views about it.

While some didnt like it, a student in Tehran I talked to said, I think it was a nice movie as it looked at politics from a new perspective, through the eyes of two kids, I think overall it was an interesting movie.

Abdipour says he made this image to improve the image of Iran abroad, he made it like a postcard to send overseas and thats why the credit are like a postcard with stamps.

Call it coincidence or luck, but its box office revenues will likely benefit from the positive mood stemming from Iran's recent signing of an interim nuclear accord with world powers.
