Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said here on Wednesday Iran and Azerbaijan should enjoy the highest level of relations.
Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov who is currently in Tehran to attend the 21st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
He noted that the two sides should try to remove the hindrances to expansion of bilateral ties and pave the way for further cooperation.
Zarif stressed that the two countries enjoy great potentials for bolstering ties in various fields including transportation, energy and water.
The expansion of mutual cooperation in various cultural areas would serve the interests of the two nations, he added.
