TEHRAN (ISNA)- Tunisia called for Iranian largest carmaker (IKCO) to make investment in the African country.
"Iran and Tunisia have held talks based on which the African part asked IKCO to invest and establish production line in the country," said Head of Export Development Organization of Tunisia Othman Bin Youssefas as attending the 14th Trade Fair of the OIC Members States.
He said IKCO production plant in Tunisia would be a great project that would cover the markets' needs in Tunisia and other countries in North African region like Morocco and Libya.
In a visit to IKCO pavilion, Bin Youssef called Runna as a suitable car for Tunisian market and said, "Auto industry would play a significant role in trade between the two countries."
The Head of Export Development Organization of Tunisia named Peugeot, Volkswagen, Renault, Toyota, Kia and Nissan as the main brands that are available in the Tunisian auto market.
He said the quality and price of IKCO products would be competitive in this market.
Bin Youssef called IKCO a highly advanced company that is the pride of Iran and all Islamic countries.
He finally expressed hope that IKCO investment and export of products to Tunisia would lead to a closer tie between the two nations.
