TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned Irans enemies to avoid even thinking of any aggressive move against the country, stressing that the Iranian Armed Forces are ready to give such a crushing response to any threat that aggressors will never forget.Addressing 50,000 Basij (volunteer force) commanders in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the preparedness of Irans military forces, and said, The response of the Iranian nation to any foreign aggression will be regrettable for the enemy.
The Supreme Leader underlined that the increasing threats by the enemy show that the US-led western sanctions have not been effective and they have understood it themselves.
Addressing the arrogant powers, Ayatollah Khamenei said, Instead of threatening other countries, go and deal with your wretched economic conditions and think of you debts.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the recent behavior of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in support of Israel in the last round of talks between Iran and the major world powers, and said, Supporting the miserable Zionist regime will be a source of defamation for the Europeans and of course the French nation should find a remedy for it.
The Supreme Leader underlined that the Zionist regime has been imposed on the region, "Anything that is gained with force will not last long and this regime will not last either."
Fabius, who was not invited to the Geneva talks, called Ashton urging that he needs to be present there. Surprised Ashton was then forced to call in British and German foreign ministers to the talks as well.
Fabius appeared on several media and warned that Israels concerns must be taken into consideration.
It is necessary to take fully into account Israels security concerns and those of the region, Fabius told France Inter radio in Geneva early on November 9 at the beginning of the third day of talks between Iran and the world powers.
On November 7-9, Iran and the five permanent UN Security Council members - Britain, China, France, Russia and the US - plus Germany, held three days of intense discussions in the Swiss city of Geneva.
The two sides did not reach an agreement but stressed that significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of a possible deal in the future.
The next round of the talks between Iran and the six countries is due to start in Geneva later today.
