Salehi to join student human chain around Fordo site

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi will join a human chain that Iranian university students are to form around Fordo nuclear site, in central Iran, Tuesday afternoon.
Secretary of the University Students Committee to Safeguard and Promote Iran’s Nuclear Achievements Mehdi Zinalou said Salehi has responded positively to the invitation sent to him to participate in the symbolic move.

Salehi is also to address the gathering.

In a letter to Salehi a few days ago, some 150 university students invited him along with a number of other Iranian officials to join them.

The students have chosen Fordo nuclear facility as the symbol of technological and industrial progress in the country.

The human chain will be created ahead of the next round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – Britain, China, France, Russia and the US- plus Germany, to be held in Geneva, on Nov 20.
