Iran to attend 29th COMCEC expert meeting in Istanbul

Istanbul, Nov 18, IRNA The 29th expert meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) opened in Istanbul, Turkey, on Monday.
IRNA reporter in Istanbul said that the expert meeting will precede the COMCEC ministerial meeting due to be held on Wednesday.


Iran will take part in the expert and ministerial meeting. The ministrial meeting is scheduled to be chaired by Turkish President Abdullah Gul.

The meeting will focus on mechanisms for attraction of foreign investment by the OIC states, preparing the ground for producing sector by structural reform in the Muslim states as well as diversification in methods of producing and growth.

COMCEC is working as the arm of OIC to reduce export of raw materials and agricultural products so that the member states prefer to export them as industrial or processing output.
