A senior Iranian lawmaker says the six+ world powers should prove their goodwill to Iran, given Tehrans transparency in its nuclear energy program.
Considering the Islamic Republic of Irans transparency in its peaceful nuclear activities and Irans inalienable right to use the benefits of nuclear energy, now it is the P5+1s (six powers) turn to show its goodwill, said Chairman of Iran's Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi.

The Iranian lawmaker made the remarks in a Monday meeting with new Cuban Ambassador to Iran Vladimir Andrs Gonzalez Quesada.

Boroujerdi attributed the failure of the six powers to achieve a nuclear agreement with Iran in their latest round of talks in Geneva to the weak decision-making of some of the negotiating countries and their being influenced by Israel.

Political observers say France has been the main reason behind the failure of the six countries involved in nuclear negotiations with Iran to reach a possible agreement with Tehran over its nuclear energy program.

While both negotiating parties have expressed satisfaction over the substantive progress they made during the Geneva talks and their optimism over the prospect of striking a deal in the near future, Israel has repeatedly warned against the consequences of such an agreement and threatened to take unilateral action against Iran.

Meanwhile, observers believe that a planned arms deal between France and Saudi Arabia as well as Israels lobbying was the main reason behind Paris objection to the nuclear deal which was close to being reached in the recent Geneva talks.

The Cuban envoy, for his part, reiterated Havanas support for Tehrans right to peaceful nuclear energy and said Cuba opposes the imposition of sanctions against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear energy program.

The United States, Israel and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program with the Israeli regime repeatedly threatening to attack Iran's nuclear facilities based on the unsubstantiated allegation.
