Iran pace towards N-resolution faster than expected: Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has praised Irans preparedness to resolve the issues regarding its nuclear energy program at a pace beyond expectations.
At a Monday meeting, Lavrov noted that he agrees with US Secretary of State John Kerry that world powers should not miss the existing opportunity to resolve the nuclear issue with Iran.

He described Irans steps to allay international concerns as quite considerable and faster than expected.

In a Monday telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Irans President Hassan Rouhani, Putin said that there is a "real chance" to resolve the Western dispute over Tehrans nuclear energy program.

On Friday, an unnamed top US official said a nuclear agreement between Iran and the six powers would be "quite possible" during the upcoming talks, which are going to start on Wednesday.

At the end of the Geneva talks on November 10, the two sides did not reach an agreement, but stressed that significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of a possible deal in the future.
