TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani extended his condolences to his Omani counterpart Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali over the death of his father.


In a phone conversation on Saturday, the Iranian top parliamentarian expressed condolence to the Omani speaker and his family on behalf of the Iranian lawmakers.

Al Mawali, for his part, thanked Larijani for the sympathy he expressed, and hoped for the prosperity of Iranian nation, government and parliament.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underlined that they attach great importance to the consolidation of Tehran's relations with the Middle-East countries in order to protect and promote peace and security in the region.
