Iran police trace down suspects of Zabol prosecutor assassination

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Police have traced down suspects of the assassination of Zabol prosecutor and the matter is under investigation, Iranian police chief Brigadier Esmaeil Ahmadi-Moqaddam said Monday.
Ahmadi-Moqaddam told reporters that police have successfully tracked down the suspects involved in assassination of the provincial prosecutor.

Asked to comment about news reports that a terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the assassination, he said that an assassination has taken place and the group tries to relate itself to it. He declined to give any more information.

After the investigations have been completed, the details will be announced, the police chief said.

Prosecutor of the city of Zabol in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan, Mousa Nouri Galehno, was assassinated by unknown gunmen as he was going to office on November 6.

The driver of the prosecutor’s car also lost his life in the terrorist attack.
