In a meeting with members of parliament from the religious minorities community in Tehran, Rouhani said citizenship rights charter he promised to honor in his election campaign is in stage of compilation.

He said since victory of the Islamic Revolution the status and identity of the divine religions have been officially recognized both by the Constitution and governing system.

The president said that as per the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all official religious minorities can hold ceremonies and perform religious rituals.

He added that based on the Islamic Republic of Iran Constitution religious minorities have a representative in Majlis, having a role to determine their own and their countrys fate.

As it has been declared, the Government of Hope and Prudence believes in and adheres to the Citizenship Right, aiming to compile the charter of citizenship rights.

We should act in a way to present Iran as a model for followers of all divine religions, to lead co-existence and live in peace of mind and security, the President said.
