Iran, IAEA to hold talks in Vienna on Dec. 11
Irans ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Reza Najafi Tehran and the UN nuclear agency will hold new round of talks in a month.
The talks will be held on December 11 in the Austrian capital of Vienna, Najafi said in a joint statement with IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Safeguards Tero Tapio Varjoranta.

The two officials held technical negotiations over Irans nuclear energy program in the countrys capital city of Tehran on Monday.

In a joint press conference with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano on Monday in Tehran, Salehi who heads the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said Tehran and the agency have agreed on a road map for more cooperation and signed a joint statement in this regard.

Salehi underlined that Iran will, on a voluntary basis, allow IAEA inspectors to visit the Arak heavy water plant and the Gachin mine in Bandar Abbas, in southern Iran, despite the fact that Tehran is under no such obligation to do so under the Safeguards Agreement.

Uranium mining operations at Gachin, started in 2004. The first consignment of yellow cake was shipped from Gachin mine to Isfahan Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) in December 2010

Amano also described the signing of the joint statement as an important step forward, adding that more work needed to be done.

Amano arrived in Tehran earlier on Monday at Salehis invitation to discuss further cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.
