Iranian researchers design new DNA genosenor

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Mazandaran university have built a new DNA genosenor.
The researchers have produced gold nano-particles through chemical revision and then built bare and modified carbon paste electrodes by using the synthesized gold nano-particles.

The results of the research project can be used in making medicines and medical fields, detecting genetic defects and clinical diagnosis and medical diagnostic clinics.

The aim of the study is to take initial steps to produce new generation of genosensors to detect different genes and defects as well as mutations to detect the diseases and biological pollutants.

The results of the study have been published in Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society.
