Iran deputy FM calls for tackling regional extremism

Tehran, Nov 4, IRNA - Iran Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavisaid countering terrorism and extremism should be considered as a common issue in consultation and interaction with regional countries.

Qashqavi made the remarks in a meeting with visiting chairman of the Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security of Kazakh Majlis Maulen Ashimbayev in Tehran.


He noted that parliamentary diplomacy should play an influential role in tackling terrorism and extremism in the region.

Ashimbayev, for his part, referred to the growing trend of mutual relations, calling for enhancement of economic transactions between the two countries.
