Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister and member of Iran’s nuclear negotiation team Abbas Araqchi said on Sunday the historic day of Aban 13 (Nov 4) belongs to the whole nation.
Talking to IRNA, Araqchi stressed that the Aban 13, marking the anniversary of the US embassy takeover by Iranian students in 1980, is the day to indicate the hatred of the Iranian nation towards the unjust approach of the arrogant powers.
Member of Iran’s nuclear negotiation team added the rallies of Aban 13 should not hinder the talks between Iran and the G5+1 which includes the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
Pointing to Iran’s two-way diplomacy regarding its nuclear issue, he said prior to the upcoming Geneva talks, Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif is to meet with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius during an official visit to Paris.
Araqchi underlined that the two issues of lifting anti-Iran sanctions and the Additional Protocol will be the toughest and last steps of the two sides, adding the US Congress and Iranˈs Majlis will make decisions on the issues.
So far, there has been no sign of lack of political will in the other part, he said.
