Iran passive defense must be alert: Official
A senior military adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Irans passive defense should keep watch on all enemy moves in order to counter potential threats.
In this period of time and with regards to the current situation, a team is needed to be in charge of monitoring threats and enemy moves and adopting the necessary measures to counter the threats, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Tuesday.

He also stated that the countrys passive defense should monitor the threats and identify their types and adopt the necessary measures to counter the threats with a preemptive approach.
Safavi further stressed Irans significant geopolitical situation, saying that the Islamic Republic can play an effective role in the formation of economic, political, cultural and security establishments in the Middle East and Asia.
On October 22, Head of Irans Passive Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholam-Reza Jalali said three Iranian provinces, namely Isfahan, Arak and Bushehr, are prioritized in terms of providing passive defense in the face of threats such as industrial leaks, terrorism and other hostile moves by Irans enemies.

In the area of nuclear and cyber passive defense our enemies are not idle and are actively seeking to harm our nations domestic infrastructures, Jalali stated.
