FNA chief: Iran, Afghanistan share same destiny
TEHRAN (FNA)- Fars News Agency Managing Director Seyed Nezamoddin Moussavi underlined the common interests of Iran and Afghanistan, and stressed that the two countries share the same fate.

Afghanistan is not separate from Iran and Afghanistans destiny is Irans destiny, Moussavi said in a meeting with his Afghan counterpart from Bakhtar news agency Khalil Minavi on Monday.

He underlined the important role of the media in establishing friendly relations between the two countries, and said, We seek to pave the ground for a common understanding and have Afghanistan's news and developments told in the Afghan peoples words and the Afghan news agencies like Bakhtar.

We do not want to see Afghanistan from view of the other people and want to reflect a true picture of Afghanistan to our readers and viewers, Moussavi said.

Tehran and Kabul have consolidated their relations after the overthrow of Taliban regime in 2001. Iran is one of the most important donors to Afghanistan which has kept its promises to help to the reconstruction of the war-hit country.

Iran has built some roads, power transmission lines, and border stations, among the other infrastructure projects which would better link the two nations.

Iran has also contributed more than $50 million annually to Afghan anti-narcotics efforts in the last decade.
