Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA- President of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has congratulated Iran, Japan and Uzbekistan for making it to the round of 16 stage of the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The AFC cheif added that the success made by the three countries showed the development programs carried out by the AFC members have a positive impact on the performance of its games.


�I would like to congratulate Iran, UAE, Uzbekistan, Iraq and Japan which not only proudly represent their country but also our Asian football family during this competition,� Shaikh Al-Khalifa said.

He stressed that the FIFA U-17 World Cup was also playing a key role in transfering cultural, educational and social values among its participating states.
