US serious for talks with Iran, says State Department Spokesman

TEHRAN (ISNA)- The US State Department's Persian spokesman, Alan Eyre, said his country is serious for talks with Iran, adding that easing sanctions imposed against Iran would come in accordance with Iranian measures.
He said the details of the recent talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany would not be released to the media, adding, "One of the specifications of serious talks is that its details are not sent to the media. We do not enter into details openly because we are serious about the talks."

Eyre further added that the west considers easing sanctions against Iran in accordance to Iranian measures, "Iran should agree with meaningful, transparent and verifiable measures before we consider removal of sanctions seriously."

Elsewhere, regarding talks between Iran and the US representatives meeting on the sidelines of the Geneva meeting, he said, the two sides held technical sides with details in an unprecedented level.

Iranian and the US representatives agreed to have another meeting early November at the same level before the expert meeting.
