One killed, 12 wounded in Lebanons Tripoli
Fresh clashes between supporters and opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli have killed one teenager and wounded 12 others,Press TVreports.
Clashes reportedly broke out in the flashpoint city on Tuesday.

Residents in two of Tripoli's prominent neighborhoods Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh often engage in violent clashes over their political and religious affiliations.

While Bab al-Tibbaneh residents are against the Syrian government, the inhabitants of neighboring Jabal Mohsen are loyal to President Assad.

Three people were injured in similar clashes which erupted in Tripoli in August.

Tripoli has been the scene of fierce clashes between the supporters and opponents of the Syrian government since the beginning of the unrest in Syria more than two years ago.

According to the United Nations, more than 100,000 people have been killed and millions displaced in the violence.

The UN also says more than four million other Syrians will be forced out of their homes in 2014 by the escalating conflict in the country.

Two million Syrians are expected to take refuge outside the country while another 2.25 million are predicted to be internally displaced in the next year.
