Iran, UAE to hold joint consular, coastal guard commission meeting

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and the UAE plan to hold the 8th joint consular and coastal guard commission meeting in Tehran.
Iran Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriate Affairs Hassan Qashqavi plans to lead the Iranian side and the UAE Deputy Foreign Minister Tariq Al Hidan chairs the UAE delegation in the meeting.

The two sides plan to discuss consular affaires as well as facilitation of coming and going of Iran and the UAE nationals.

Iran attaches importance to strengthening ties with the Middle East's countries in a bid to maintain security in the region.

Former Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi had also earlier this year underlined the importance of close cooperation among the Persian Gulf countries in order to maintain regional security and stability.
