Former Spaniard FM very optimistic about Iranian nuclear talks with G5+1

Madrid, Oct 20, IRNA - Former Foreign Minister of Spain Ana Palacio said on Sunday that she is very optimistic about success of nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1 under President Hassan Rouhani.
She made the remarks in an interview with the Spanish Daily El Pais.

Referring to her previous acquaintance with President Rouhani when he was serving as secretary of Iranian National Security Council, she said Rouhani can properly make use of existing opportunities.

The Islamic republic of Iran has put this responsibility upon shoulder of President Rouhani to resolve the dispute with the western governments, she said.

She said that Iran is a very complicated country and it is not easy to simply analyze the Iranian political developments.

She said that nuclear program is now considered as symbol of national pride in Iran with a great heritage of culture and civilization dating back to several thousands years ago.
While the entire Middle East has been engulfed by conflicts and civil war, the Islamic Republic of Iran is as an example of stability in the region, she pointed out.

Positive peace efforts of Iran to help restore peace and security in the region suffering from turmoil urges the US leadership to review Iran policy, she said.

She said that the Islamic Republic of Iran displayed its might at international scene while the US has turned into the symbol of weakness and inability.
