TEHRAN (FNA)- National Iranian Gas Company’s (NIGC) Managing Director Hamid Reza Araqi appointed Azizollah Ramezani as the NIGC’s director for international affairs.
In his decree, NIGC’s managing director has tasked Ramezani to move toward integrating powers and duties of National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGEC) into the NIGC’ International Affairs Department of NIGC under the provisions of article 44 of the Constitution and through cooperation with Petroleum Ministry’s International and Commercial Department.
“Constant supervision on exports, imports, swaps and transit of natural gas, pursuing international agreements and MoUs, expanding natural gas trade as well as boosting Iran’s gas industry place in international arena are among the main tasks of NIGC’s International Affairs Department,” Araqi stated in his decree.
“You are being appointed because of your commitment, knowledge and valuable experiences in the field,” the decree continues.
Araqi also thanked Hosain Bidarmaghz services who was in charge of NIGEC.
The oil ministry witnessed other reshuffling this week as well. Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh named Iran’s former ambassador to Japan Ali Majedi as his deputy for international and commercial affairs.
Majedi took over Mansour Moazzami whom Zanganeh appointed as deputy petroleum minister for planning and supervision on hydrocarbon reserves.
He said he appointed Majedi because of his experience and potentials. Zanganeh also named Moazzami to the new post based on his experience, qualifications and background.
Moazzami’s predecessor Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr was named as advisor to minister.
