Brahimi to visit Iran soon

TEHRAN (ISNA)- The UN-Arab League peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi plans to visit Iran in coming days after his trip to Damascus and Cairo.
Lakhdar Brahimi would visit Syria, Egypt and Iran in order to provide the grounds for Geneva II conference on Syria scheduled for November, Saudi-daily al-Watan quoted his Spokeswoman Khawla Mattar as saying.

Brahimi as an Algerian diplomat and the UN special envoy on Syria visits Cairo on Saturday and meets with Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy and Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby.

He will then visit Damascus and Tehran after his Egyptian visit.
