UNDG chair to visit Tehran
Tehran, Oct 17, IRNA - United Nations Development Group (UNDG) Chair and UN Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Helen Clark will visit Tehran from 21 to 23 October 2013, UNIC said.
A press release issued by the UN Information Center (UNIC) on Thursday said that during her stay, Clark will meet and confer with a number of senior Iranian government officials including Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The press release said the objectives of Clarks mission to the Islamic Republic of Iran are: to deepen, broaden and invigorate the development engagement of UN and UNDP with Iran; to seek concrete ways to improve UN/UNDPs role in partnering the Government to address its development priorities and achieve the goals set forth in the UN Development Assistant Framework (UNDAF 2012 2016) which is based on the national development priorities outlined in the 5th National 5 year development plan and to promote UN/UNDPs development priorities namely human development, inclusive growth, environment and sustainable development as well as overall development with a human face.
