Iran installs indigenous turbines on power plant

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran inaugurated a wind power in northeastern part of the country, using home-made turbines.
The first 710-MW turbine built by Iranian local companies installed on a 100-MW power plant in Khaf City.

All pieces of equipment of the turbines are home-made built based on DFIG technology. It reduces energy waste and increases useful power output to 710 KW from 660 KW.

It cost $2,000,000 to accomplish the project.
