Bangladesh keen on commercial ties with Iran: envoy
Astara, Oct 12, IRNA Bangladesh Ambassador to Iran Khandakar Abdul Sattar said on Saturday that commercial ties of the two Muslim countries should enhance to the same level of political relations.
While touring Astara Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, he added that current commercial ties are not sufficient and they should be promoted to higher levels.

Expressing satisfaction over political ties, he said that the two governments have developed strong ties over the past several years.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran held a successful Summit of Leaders of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) last year, adding that Bangladeshi prime minister has made it clear willingness to consolidate bilateral ties in a meeting with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the sidelines of the Summit.

Many Bangladeshi merchants come to Iran for business and we are seeking to improve commercial ties to new heights, he said.
He described Astara as an impressive site, in view of its numerous natural capabilities.
