Dushanbe, Oct 10, IRNA Chairman of Tajik National Assembly said agricultural, scientific, trade, energy and cultural relations between Dushanbe and Tehran are growing.
Mahmadsaid Ubaydulloyev said the two countries enjoy historical and cultural commonalities and speak the same language.
Ubaydulloyev made the remarks in a meeting with the outgoing Iranian Ambassador to Dushanbe Ali Asghar Sherdoost.
The Iranian diplomat, for his part, elaborated on his performance during his over five-year mission in Tajikistan.
He appreciated Tajikistan for its stance towards Irans legitimate rights at the international arena.
He further described Tehran and Dushanbe as two friends enjoying mutual interests.
