Larijani: President Rouhani NY visit proper chance for West

Belgrade, Oct 7, IRNA Visiting Parliament Speaker of Iran Ali Larijani said Sunday evening that the visit to New York of President Rouhani was a proper chance for the western states to solve problems but they did not deal with it sincerely.
Speaking in a dinner banquet at the Iranian embassy in Belgrade attended by a group of Iranian and Serbian experts, Larijani condemned plots hatched by certain western states against the Iranian nation in the past three decades following the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

However, he referred to Serbia as a friend of Iran who has never pursued a hostile approach towards Tehran.

No dark point exists in the history of Iran-Serbia relations, Larijani stressed.

Larijani is in Serbia on a two-day visit.

He is to hold separate talks with his Serbian counterpart Nebojsa Stefanovic, President Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.

During the first day of his stay, the Iranian Majlis speaker toured Belgrades Saint Sava Cathedral and a museum as well as the citys Bajrakli Mosque.
