Works by Iranian artists to go under hammer at London charity auction

TEHRAN, Oct. 6 (MNA) – Works by a number of Iranian artists will go under the hammer during a charity auction entitled the Bridge of Persia at London’s Royal College of Arts on October 14.

Organized by Christie’s, this event is the single most important fundraising event supported by the Magic of Persia, a London-based foundation that promotes Iranian art and culture.

The auction aims to raise funds for a number of charity and humanitarian programs in London.

Works by Parviz Tanavoli, Abbas Kiarostami, Behdad Lahuti, Shadi Qadirian, Reza Derakhshani, Newsha Tavakkolian and several other artists will go on sale during the event.

All the money raised by the auction will go to charity at the Omid Foundations, Popli Khalatbari Charitable Foundation, Snowflake School for Children with Autism, and the London Film School.
