President Rouhani visit to NY helps promote foreign trade

Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Prov, Oct 2, IRNA - Chairman of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Hamid Safdel said Wednesday the visit to New York of the Iranian President has paved the way for promotion of the countrys foreign trade.
Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of an international conference, in this northwestern province, on promotion of Irans non-oil trade, the official said the Iranian delegation acted accurately in New York.

President Rouhani was in New York last week to attend the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his stay in New York, the Iranian President held separate meetings with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, his foreign counterparts and a number of Iranians residing in the US.

A phone conversation between US President Barack Obama and President Rouhani was the highlight of the visit to New York of the Iranian delegation.

Safdel expressed hope that talks held by President Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in New YorK would have positive impact on Irans foreign trade.
