“Immortals of History” coming to Tehran gallery

TEHRAN, Sep. 22 (MNA) – A photo exhibition entitled “The Immortals of History”, which recalls some emotional moments of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war, will open at Tehran’s Eyvan Gallery today.
The exhibit has been organized by Tehran Farhang Film Company to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the war, which is known as the Sacred Defense in Iran, the company announced on Saturday.

Forty photos taken by various photographers in different warzones in Khuzestan Province have been put on display at the exhibit that will be running until September 25.

The company has also arranged a one-day session on the sidelines of the show to review photography of war and its influence on the art of photography.

A panel of war photographers including Mohammad–Hossein Heidari has been invited to the session, which is scheduled to discuss formation of war photography and introduce Iranian photographers of war.

The gallery is located at No. 25, Kaman valley, off Haqqani crossroad, and Africa Ave.
