TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian and Iraqi defense officials plan to explore ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two neighboring countries in defense fields during Iraqi Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi’s visit to Tehran on Monday.
The Iraqi minister’s visit will come at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan.
In addition to Dehqan, Dulaimi will hold meetings with senior Iranian political officials and discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.
Senior Iraqi military officials, including chief of staff of the Iraqi army, commanders of Iraqi air, ground and naval forces will accompany Dulaimi during his visit to Tehran.
