TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Oil Industry has managed to obtain the know-how needed for the basic design of oil refinery and gas condensation, cutting the country's reliance on foreign technologies, a senior Iranian oil official said.


"Oil Industry Research Center has obtained the expertise required for basic design of oil refinery and gas condensation and has implemented it successfully," said Head of Research Center of Refinery Technologies Development of the Oil Industry Research Center Mansour Bazmi.

The research and studies required for the project started 5 years ago, the official added, the Iranian students news agency reported.

Basic design of the oil refinery and gas condensations meet the latest international standards, said Bazmi, adding that the products of the refinery are superior to products of other refineries in terms of quality and environment standards.

According to Bazmi, the first industrial unit for basic design of the oil refinery and gas condensations were launched and installed for propane and butane units with the capacity of 500 tons for each daily (4000 barrels daily).
