Iranian researchers discover violet antitumor properties
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have discovered antitumor properties of violet flower on rank a2N Neuroblastoma cells.
Neuroblastoma, a tumor with the origin of the sympathetic nervous system, is one of the most common malignant cancers among children. The disease disappears in infants but it grows rapidly in adult patients, which makes it necessary for the patients to receive new medicines.

The results of research showed that violet has strong antitumor properties on rank a2N Neuroblastoma cells. The materials responsible for the effect are found in the plant's ethyl acetate fraction. Separating the material could be used for making anti-cancer material.

Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor which is developed in neural tissues and happens in infants and children.
