8 mini refineries to be built in Assaluyeh

TEHRAN Sep 14 (Shana): Eight small and middle sized gas condensate refineries will be built in Assaluyeh, onshore installations of South Pars gas field.
The plants will be built by Irans private sector companies. Up to now, five investors has acquired necessary permissions for signing contract to set up the plants.


Manager of economic development and absorbing investments at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) Hojatollah Fereidoni said eight Iranian investors are willing to establish gas condensate refineries in the zone. He said the refineries will mainly produce gaoil, gasoline, naphtha and bitumen.


Fereidoni continued: the refineries will be able to process between 20 to 150 thousand barrels per day adding it is forecast they will be built in next three years.


Five investors have obtained necessary permissions for concluding contract and the three others are on the course of finalizing their permissions, Feridoni said.


According to the official, all the contracts will be finalized in next three months.
