Iran's English-language news channel, Press TV, is set to conduct an exclusive interview with the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday.
This will be Zarifs first interview with an international television channel, which will be aired live on Press TV on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 16:30 GMT.
During the interview, Zarif will discuss major issues of regional and international concern including the ongoing crisis in Syria as well as the current situation and future course of Irans nuclear energy program.
Zarif served as Iran's ambassador to the United Nations under former president, Mohammad Khatami, and was also deputy foreign minister for 10 years. He is a professor of international law at the Foreign Ministry's School of International Relations.
On August 15, Irans Majlis approved the qualification of Zarif as President Hassan Rouhanis nominated foreign minister with 232 votes in favor, 36 against, and 13 abstentions.
