Iran to unveil 15 air defense achievements: commander

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – A senior commander announced on Saturday that at least 15 new achievements will be unveiled on Sunday.

The announcement was made by commander of Khatam ul-Anbia Air Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmailee in a meeting with a group of reporters held on the occasion of the Air Defense Day (September 1).

Khatam ul-Anbia Air Base fully maintains the security of sensitive and strategic areas including nuclear plants, refineries and power plants, said the commander.

He underlined that all sections of the air defense base are active throughout the country.

In similar statements on Friday, the Iranian commander stressed the full readiness of the Iranian armed forces against any possible foreign threats.

The Iranian youth are ready to counter enemies if they commit an act of aggression against the Islamic Republic, he said.
