TEHRAN (FNA)- One citizen was killed and 40 were injured in an explosion caused by a rocket projectile fired by militants which fell in Burj al-Rous in al-Qasa'a area in Damascus on Saturday evening.


Contrary to preliminary report, the explosion wasn't caused by a car bomb, SANA reproted.

A source at the Police Command said that the rocket projectile claimed the life of one citizen and injured 40 others who were immediately rushed to hospitals.

The news agency's correspondent who visited the site said the explosion caused significant material damages to 17 cars, several storefronts and houses.
