Omani oil minister due in Iran

Tehran, Aug 24, IRNA – Minister of Oil and Gas of the Sultanate of Oman Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhy will pay an official visit to Tehran on Sunday, said Head of the International and Commercial Affairs Department at Oil Ministry Mansoor Moazzami on Saturday.

Al Rumhi will visit Iran as a member of the delegtion accompanying Omani Sultan Qaboos in his Tehran visit.

Moazzami said Iran and Oman are two friendly and neighboring countries, enjoying close ties and cooperation.

He said, We hope that during Omani Kings visit to Iran a new chapter will be opened in mutual cooperation.

He went on to say that absolutely, cooperation at the international level is the requisite for development of the oil industry.

The official said energy will feautre prominently in talks with the Omani delegation.
