Iran, destination for 13 pc of Tajikistans total exports

Dushanbe, Aug 24, IRNA Islamic Republic of Iran was desination for 13 percent of total goods exported from Tajikistan in the first half of 2013, according to a report by Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan on Saturday.
Aluminum and cotton constituted the main commodities exported by Tajikistan to Iran.

The report said that Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, China, Russia and Kazakhstan were the main destinations for Tajik goods during the mentioned period.

Tajikistan is a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia. It borders Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and China to the east.

Most of Tajikistans population belongs to the Persian-speaking Tajik ethnic group, who share language, culture and history with Afghanistan and Iran.
