Tehran, Aug 21, IRNA � Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Wednesday that tranquility and peace are among basic needs of people and any efforts to this end will be desirable.
He made the remarks in a message addressed to the International Conference on Peace in Tehran on Wednesday.

The message read when the avarice nature of a group of terrorists and closed-minded people have targeted peace and security of world nations any move to confront such an approach will be admirable, he said.

He criticized regional conflicts in parts of the world and the Middle East in particular and said all people are waiting for restoration of peace and tranquility to the globe.
