Extremism damages national interest, global security

Tehran, Aug 19, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani said Monday that extremism would damage national interest, Islamic Ummah and global security.
Referring to his government as trans-factional, the President said no official in his government has the right to discriminate against different tribes, faiths or religious minorities and their followers.

The President made the remarks in his address to a ceremony to welcome new Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
