Iran builds nano-based pigment solar cells
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian students at Green Energy Research Center of Sharif University have produced pigment solar cells using nanotechnology in order to improve the quality of home-made solar cells products.
World countries are trying to generate electricity from free, renewable and clean solar energy due to rise of fuel price.

"The cells are pigment solar cells which are the third generation of solar cells based on TiO2," said Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, a faculty member of Sharif University.

The researchers also produced TiO2 powder, TiO2 paste and nano-based solar cells with 7 percent efficiency.

The cells can be used in house, cities and even in parks to generate power. They can also be used in traffic lights, electronic panels and even in industries which need power flow.
