Iran's Sharif university of technology ranks 7th in int'l math competition

TEHRAN (FNA)- Mathematics team of Sharif University of Technology stood seventh in the 20th International Student Mathematics Contest held recently in Bulgaria.


Directed by Omid Haji-Sadeqi, the team came seven by winning six medals including three gold, two silver and one bronze.

Aydin Yousefzadeh, Sahand Seif-Nashri, Mojtaba Shokrian-Zeini grabbed gold medals while Hesam Rajabzadeh-Estehbanati and Amir Hossein Garzi won silver medals with Amir Msoud Givechi receiving bronze medal, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

Sharif University of Technology is an Iranian academy celebrated worldwide. It is specialized in technology, engineering and physical sciences. It is included in the Times Higher Education World Universities Ranking.
