Iranian FM spokesman denies news on country not having ambassadors

Iranian FM spokesman, Abbas Araqchi has denied news about some 50 of Iran’s embassies working without ambassadors, Iranian Keyhan newspaper reported.

“For the time being, all of 100 Iranian embassies and representative offices abroad work under ambassadors and heads of office,” he said.

It should be noted that yesterday Iranian Mardomsalari newspaper quoted head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s parliament Mansour Haghighatpour as saying some 50 Iran’s embassies abroad don’t have an ambassador and have people working as caretakers.
