Iran builds research winch to control laboratory equipment in deep waters
TEHRAN (ISNA)- Researchers at Iranian National Institute for Oceanography have managed to build research winch which is capable of controlling objects and tools in deep waters.
The research winch is installed on ships and vessels. It sends field and laboratory equipment deep inside and outside of waters.

The device has been designed and built by Iranian researchers to meets needs of the country in field measurements.

The winch is generally used for launching objects from deep sea waters. This is the first research winch designed and built to control speed in deep water.

The newly-designed tool can be used for long time and its speed can be controlled. High operation speed and application in short time frame are some characteristics of the device.

The Iranian home-made winch costs roughly one fifths of the foreign model, saving the country's currency.
