Iran urges massive turnout in World Quds Day rallies

Irans Foreign Ministry has invited the Iranian nation as well as Muslims and freedom-seekers across the globe to take part in the World Quds Day rallies on Friday to vent their opposition to the Israeli regime.
Back in 1979, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was designated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, as World Quds Day. On the day, Muslims around the globe stage rallies in solidarity with the Palestinian nation and express their abhorrence toward the Israeli regime.

The Foreign Ministry statement described the US-sponsored conciliation talks between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian Authority as a fresh move by Washington to confront the oppressed Palestinian nation under the pretext of playing the role of a mediator.
These talks, within their predetermined framework, can never guarantee the interests and legitimate demands of the oppressed people of Palestine, read the statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
Undoubtedly, the back-to-back defeats suffered by the Israeli military in the face of Palestinian resistance coupled with the regional nations expressing of revulsion against hegemonic plots have tightened the noose on Tel Aviv, prompting the Israeli regime and its allies to bang the drums for the so-called conciliation talks, the statement said.

The clear message conveyed by the Palestinian resistance and the Islamic Awakening in the Middle East is that the only way to save the Palestinian nation is through unity between the Palestinian people and leaders and their resistance against the occupying regime, the statement further said.

It also emphasized that the root cause of the Middle East crises is the continuation of the occupation of Palestine and of Israeli brutalities.
