Managing Director of Social Welfare, Services and Participation of Tehran Municipality announced the launch of a temporary residence for women.
Hossein Zare-Sefat told Tehran SAMA that at present a place has been allocated to this end with limited capacity. But, since it is considered a new experience it is expected that charity organizations, the private sector and public bodies collaborate with Tehran Municipality in implementation of the pilot plan.

He added: This center is in fact dedicated to patients discharged from Lavisan organized center as well as needy women who require social services. It is expected that up to the next week executive measures to set up this temporary residence would start.

Zare-Sefat further added: One of the main topics which has been considered by the Welfare Organization is empowerment of vulnerable women and is an opportunity for their entry into the labor market. We have tried to draw the attention of the Plan and Budget Commission of the City Council to supply of the needs of the supportive centers, especially Lavisan organized center. Therefore, it has been decided that with the cooperation of District 4 Municipality within a short period of time demands of the building and installations of Lavisan would improve and become closer to the ideal situation as compared to the past.
